Home Skin Care Tips: Emily’s Smart Move

By Joel Walsh Ever wonder how some people manage to do all their skin care at home, without the expensive skin care products you’ve tried, and still look better than you do? No, they’re not secretly using the most expensive product at the cosmetics counter. Its not easy, but successful home skin care is certainly possible. Meet Emily This is the story of Emily, one hypothetical person who used home skin care tips she found online to look like a million bucks for a few dollars worth of household supplies and a little creativity. Emily had to go on a camping trip in a few days with her new boyfriend and a group of his friends, all of them real nature nuts. Emily was afraid that being in such close contact with her boyfriend and his friends would make it impossible to keep up the pretence that her shining skin was really just all her positive energy radiating out–and not several hundred dollars worth of skin care products, each one made of a long list of chemicals Emily couldn’t even pronounce. Home Care Tips for Skin: Emilys Salvation? Emily decided to search online for home care tips for skin. She knew it would be foolish simply to trust the manufacturers of skincare products for this information. Searching on the internet, she found a website that did not belong to a skin care products manufacturer, but instead reviewed different products and provided information on living a healthier, less toxic lifestyle. She followed the links on those sites to websites that sold books, tools, and ingredients for home skin care. Emily knows there are a lot of cheats on the web, even when it comes to something as simple as home care for skin. She didn’t want to try something recommended by someone who didn’t know what they were talking about and risk giving herself a rash, so she was careful. Heres what she looked for: Some of the websites that sold skin care products had a link to the Better Business Bureau. Clicking on the link, Emily saw the companys record: member in good standing with no unresolved complaints. Emily looked at several websites before trying any of the home care tips on her skin, to see if there were any disagreements about what to try. For instance, one website recommended using an old-fashioned wart remedy, while another website warned against the old remedy, saying it could provoke an allergic reaction in some people. Emily double-checked on the tips she had found by searching on the names of any ingredients or techniques she didn’t recognize. That way she would know exactly what she was getting herself into. Emily looked out for any claims to results that were too good to be true. She skipped anything that sounded like a medicine that would have to be sold with a prescription–using words like “cure” or promising to radically alter her body’s chemistry. When Emily was finished with her internet research, she set aside a few hours after she got home from work to test the tips out. She used a patch of skin on her leg that would be covered up anyway, and left plenty of time before the camping trip. That way, she wouldn’t have to parade around the scars of any mistakes. Did Emilys Home Skin Care Tips Work? Emily ordered some essential ingredients for home care skin remedies online with overnight shipping. She also printed out some articles with instructions for home skin care tips that only required ingredients she already had at home. One of the remedies Emily tried out worked, but the lemon juice left her smelling a little too appetizing. She wouldn’t want to be fending off mosquitoes all during her trip, so she put that one aside for later. Several of the tips didn’t work at all. But she did find a recipe that used chamomile and wheat germ to make a pretty effective skin softener. She also learned how to deal with stress better to keep small lines from forming on her face. On the camping trip, one of her boyfriend’s female friends bragged how everything in her cosmetics case was biodegradable. Emily wowed everyone when she showed them that everything in her cosmetics case was not only biodegradable, but edible. Now Emily’s boyfriend is amazed to have found a woman who is not only beautiful but rugged, too. Emily’s amazed to have found a way to shave hundreds of dollars off her cosmetics purchases each month. Do you want to look beautiful naturally, just like Emily did? Start by doing your homework on home care tips for skin on the web. Hobby Psychology

By Peter Jaystore Happiness is the culmination of small amounts of success. You will inevitably not be successful at everything you try to do. Also, if you measure your success by extreme standards, such as accomplishing some great and important task then you will likely often be too hard on yourself and feel like a failure, despite all of your other small successes. It is better to focus on the small successes and make them happen as often as you can. Mastering a new hobby can be a small success that you can accomplish, that you can make happen, and that you have control over. Moreover, it is something you choose to do. You can succeed at the things that YOU want to. If you or someone you know is having trouble getting excited about life or has little ambition, perhaps it is time to have a little success or help them find a little success. Success can be inspiring. Success can build your confidence. As you learn a new hobby, your confidence will rise. You will become more ambitious and happy. You will become excited about other things that before you were not excited about. A hobby can just be something else for you to do. One of my favorite quotes is Variety is the spice of life. A hobby is something you can spice up your life with. It can be very helpful to your mental health as you fill your life with the things that you enjoy and love. It can also give you a sense of control as YOU pick your hobbies. YOU find the things that YOU like. You can pursue your own interests. As you experiment with different hobbies you can find yourself. You can find out what you are really like, what really makes you happy. Perhaps physical exercise will make you happier, in which case you should find a hobby that requires some physical exertion like mountain biking, running, lifting weights, dancing, swimming, or playing sports. Maybe you would enjoy a hobby where you can interact with other people; most of the hobbies already mentioned could also be done with others. You could also find more laid back hobbies such as outdoor yard games, barbecuing, camping, or boating. Whatever your interests are, or what you think they might be you can find a related hobby and pursue it. There are also hobbies for people who like to spend time alone such as crocheting, scrapbooking, arts and crafts. Some people like to tinker with things or are interested in technology, in which case, they might like model airplanes or radio control airplanes. Many people have a hobby of communicating with ham radios. There are as many hobbies as there are ideas. By definition, a hobby is a leisure or recreational activity that someone pursues outside of their regular career. It is something that adds quality to life and variety to your nine-to-five job. It is something you can enjoy, something you can look forward to doing at the end of the day or the end of the week. It is something that you can spend time doing with family or friends. It is something that can provide purpose and a reason for you to be happy. Hobbies can help to find yourself and find where your real interests lay. So, find a new hobby today. Find a hobby at the online hobby store that makes you think, that challenges you to be more intelligent, to be a better person and that gives you something to look forward to. You will be surprised what a difference it makes in your life. Peter Jay is the Owner/President and CEO of Variety Access Your online hobby store and more. Wedding Checklist: Flowers

By Janey McKenzie Weddings are a busy affair so many things are happening all at the same time. Because of all the things that are happening in unison it is best to prepare with a wedding checklists. Weddings could be super stressful for the unprepared. Wedding checklists are important to keep track of things in a wedding and to keep things in order and so as to not forget anything important when it comes to the crunch. A wedding flower checklist is important to keep track of the decoration component of your wedding. When you start to make checklists, make sure you also have a wedding flowers checklist to ensure the themeing and decorations for your wedding run smoothly and without too much hassle. Of course, the most basic and important part of your wedding flowers is the floral bouquets. The usual set of bouquets that are ordered for weddings are the Brides bouquet, Brides toss away bouquet, Maid of Honors bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets and finally the flower girls floral basket or bouquet. Write those down in your wedding flower checklist and were on a roll The next set of flowers to consider for your wedding flowers checklist is the floral accessories for the other members of the family. Corsages would be the next set of flowers to consider: the bride and grooms mothers need one as well as attending grandparents from both bride and groom. The men also need floral decorations. It is part of the wedding tradition that the groom, the best man, ushers, ring bearer and the fathers of the bride and groom as well as attending grandfathers are entitled to wear a floral boutonniere. The colors and mixture of flowers you choose should be chosen with consideration of the wedding theme as well as synchronized with the colors of the womens corsages. To tie up the official end of the wedding floral plan, you may want to add this to your wedding flower checklist: You may also want all of your wedding party as well as your immediate family to have some flowers to attach to their suit or dress as a sign of membership. Now, there are other points you may want to add to your wedding flower checklist. It doesnt end with simply the floral arrangements that are carried or attached to members of the wedding party. There would be also flowers surrounding the wedding ceremony and around your reception area if you choose to do so. You may want to have flowers to decorate your rehearsal dinner. You may want ot keep it simple by having a floral centerpiece for the main table. If you arent on a tight budget, well you can go out and get as many centerpieces as you want. For the wedding reception you may want the following list of floral arrangements present in your wedding: The main table centerpiece, centerpiece for the gift table (if there is a gift table), a centerpiece for both the buffet table and bar. For the wedding ceremony you may want to consider floral arrangements at each pew or at the central area where you will be married. You may want to delegate the responsibility of your wedding flowers checklist so you can depend on someone else while you concentrate and ponder about your own wedding. Good luck in your wedding planning and hope your wedding flowers go to plan according to your checklist. Career Advice: Career Growth Begins with Career Boundaries

By Cathy Goodwin “My new boss casually asks how I spent my weekend. I want to keep my personal life private.” “My parents criticized my decision to start a business. They’re convinced we will soon be living in a homeless shelter.” “My friends invited me for lunch this week and I just don’t have time for one more social event.” As you begin a new venture — job, business, promotion, relocation — you may feel you’re living in a glass bubble. Friends, coworkers, and family watch you closely, wondering if they’ll have to pick up the pieces after a midlife crisis career crash. You love them, but you need to set limits. Life gets crowded when you live in a small bubble. 1. Draw your own boundary map before getting caught in tough situations. If you’re clear on your own needs, your lines will be solid. 2. When you’re asked a tough question, use the opportunity to communicate the message you want to send. Q: “Shouldn’t you be spending more time with your family?” A: “I have a wonderful family. Did I tell you my daughter is a starter on her high school basketball team? And my son just won an award for” 3. Skip apologies and explanations unless you really need forgiveness. Q: “Can we get together for lunch next week?” A: “Gee, I’m so sorry, but I have all these errands to run, and my mother will be visiting, and” Ouch! Let’s try it again: A: “I always enjoy lunch with you, but this week won’t work for me. Can I call you later to set up a time?” OR (if you never want to have lunch with this person): A: “Lunches do not work with my schedule. Let’s stay in touch by email.” 4. Borrowing money or asking for favors will erode your boundaries. If your parents lend you $20,000 to buy a house, they deserve regular updates on your financial status. If your coworker watches your cat for a week, she will expect vacation stories (as well as a delightful gift and a promise to hire a sitter next time). 5. If you find yourself surrounded by people who push your boundaries, consider reviewing your priorities with a coach, counselor or trusted friend. Your words and gestures may signal, “Come on in!” when your brain says, “Keep away!” Finally, don’t beat yourself up! Genuine self-acceptance and self-confidence will deter most boundary-trespassers. And sometimes you risk loosening your boundaries, recognizing that life in a glass bubble can also bring unexpected help, surprises and even rewards. If Time is Money, Then Money is Time, Too!

By Jill Cooper When people ask me about getting out of debt, they often ask Doesnt it take quite a bit more time to be frugal? Of course, doing work yourself does mean you spend more time doing certain things, but it also means that you will spend a lot less time and money working to pay someone else to do it. Many people work more hours to pay someone else to do a job than it would take them to do it themselves. Of course, if you make a million dollars a year and have no manual dexterity, this article is not for you. Here are some examples based on my own experience with a family of 4. Because your household income is probably not the same as mine, some things that make sense for me will not make sense for you. I suggest that you read my examples and consider your actual costs. Example #1: Buying clothes- One great way to save on clothes is to go to garage sales. This seems very time consuming to many people, but it really isnt. In the summer, I usually spend 3-4 hours every 2 weeks (May - September) going to garage sales. That may seem like a lot, but if you compare that to how much time the average person spends shopping at the mall, it really isnt any longer. Example #2: Meals- I usually average an hour and a half each day preparing and cleaning up from meals. Compare that to going out to eat: It takes the typical person 20 minutes to drive to the restaurant and 20 minutes to return home. That is 40 minutes. Then you spend 15-20 minutes ordering and waiting for your order. You are now up to one hour. If you plan an hour for eating, you are up to two hours total. Dont forget the 2-3 hours you had to work to pay for it! This assumes an income of $30,000 per year and a $40 family meal. If you go to fast food restaurants instead, you could cut your time down to 40-50 minutes and 1-2 hours working to pay for it. If you stay home and cook, it will cost you 15-30 minutes preparing the meal and less than $5 paying for it. Im not saying that you should never eat out but, that if you do it regularly, it will cost you a lot more (in time and money). Is it really worth it? Example #3: Buying a car- If you buy a new car with $500 a month payments for 5 years, you pay $30,000. Lets say you earn $30,000 per year at your job. If you assume 25% income tax, you must earn $40,000 to pay for your $30,000 car. This means that you have to work 1 year and 4 months for no other reason but to pay for that car. Is it really worth working over one year just to pay for a new car? If you decided to buy a $7500 car instead, you could afford to take a vacation from work for a year. Havent you been saying you need more free time? (If you didnt get that, get out your calculator and do the math. This is important.) Always consider the hidden costs, too. Would you feel more inclined to buy a security system for that $30,000 car? How much will that cost? Are the parts more expensive for the $30,000 car when it breaks down? Trust me, your new car will still break down almost as much as a used car. Ask my brother… Be very careful when you start saying things like Doesnt it take too much time to be frugal? or I cant seem to find time to be with my husband or children or I dont know where to start saving. Often, those are excuses that you have created to ease your guilt. If you think about it and do the math, living simply will give you more free time. If youd rather not, you can always keep spending money and wishing you had more family time. Its your choice! But take heart- if you have read this far then you get and A+ for taking the first step and trying! Jill Cooper is co-publisher of http://www.LivingOnADime.com, a web site dedicated to teaching families personal finance, frugal living and homemaking skills. She raised two teenagers alone on $500 a month income after becoming disabled with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Setting Goals To Conquer Your Russian Princess?

By John Kunkle Well, it takes a lot of energy to write letters to ten or fifteen women at the same time. It takes a lot of energy to travel seventeen hours on a plane and travel a nation of eleven time zones. It takes a lot of energy to meet lots of beautiful women. Dating, dining, dancing, conversing with, and romancing women take a lot of energy, but I cant think of a better way to spend it. To me, its naturally invigorating. I feel alive! Its not for someone who is not in the best of health or cant get out of bed. But if you cant get the energy up for courting beautiful, exciting women, then you probably belong at home. Did you know that there is a specific methodology for achieving a goal? First, the goal must be specific. Secondly, it must be measurable. It is important that you make your goal specific and measurable so that you know when you have achieved it. Thirdly, there must be a time element or deadline during which time the goal must be achieved. Other requirements for goal setting are that you identify the resources required to achieve your goal, that you have a support structure of people to help you attain your goal, and a step-by-step plan for attaining your goal. With this book you have the knowledge and the plan. You will need time and some money as well. My suggestion is for you to read this book all the way through so that you have an overview of the entire process. From there, you can decide on your plan of attack. Write your goal down. Get the calendar out. Break your goal down into individual steps. Write down the date you will have each step completed. Be realistic. Make your plan attainable. Allow time for contingencies. But by putting it down on paper, you will have made a tremendous stride in achieving your goal. It is a rule of the universe that what you can conceive and believe, you can achieve. By writing it down; by carving your plan in stone, you are almost a third of the way there to achieving your goal. John has been successfully married to a Belarussian wife for over five years. He has traveled extensively through Russia and other CIS countries. He will tell you why you should consider Russian women, how to meet them, how to bring your special woman home, and how to survive married life. http://www.russian-luv.com/introduction3.html Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Kunkle http://EzineArticles.com/?Setting-Goals-To-Conquer-Your-Russian-Princess?&id=364022 discount pharmacy phentermine phentermine without prescription cod order phentermine 37.5 get phentermine without a prescription

Online Dating Service Choices for Beginners

By Eriani Doyel The online dating service is the one of the newer entrants on the singles social scene. Those who are thinking about going through a dating service of one kind or another or posting a personal ad should definitely consider going through an online dating service. However, before you use any of these types of services you should educate yourself and research your options to find the most suitable fit for your needs. Although many people use an online dating service and are very happy with the results, whether it is just a good time with a lot of different partners, or a long term commitment, it is not for everyone. What kind of person are you? Do you like meeting new people and are you comfortable going out with someone you have never met in person before the date? If so, an online dating service may be just what you need to spice up your social life. You may or may not be surprised that you will be able to choose an online dating service from hundreds that are available. There are dating services that cater to different age groups, religious affiliations and even hair color. If you would like to narrow down your choices to one of these more specific groups, you can, but there are other online dating service sites that cater to a more general group. Do an online search and you may be amazed at the selection available to you. The next step after you have narrowed down your search to a few possible sites is to check out the features such as cost and additional screening services. There are sites which offer listings at no cost to you, but this type of online dating service does not usually have very many screening features and their services are limited. Others offer a compatibility profile screening and other matchmaking tools for an additional fee and then they will send you matches for a set period of weeks or months. You may even want to register for more than one service to get a wider variety of responses. Make sure that you follow safety tips when you go through any dating service. Do not give out personal information such as address and phone number. Do contacting through e-mail. Make your first meeting in a public place and notify someone where you are going and how long you will be gone. Eriani Doyel writes online articles about Self-Improvement. How to Lose Weight the Easy Way

By Debbie Fontana If you think you have to follow strict rules or suffer to lose weight, think again. The easy way to lose weight is to indulge your weaknesses. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But when I finally understood this concept, I understood why most diets fail us. That’s right. The diets fail us. Because they force us to follow rules that go against human nature. It’s really quite simple. The more you can’t have something, the more you want it. Until you become absolutely obsessed. Think about it. Suppose you like to snack at night. If you follow a diet that eliminates snacks or eating after a certain time of day, you constantly have to fight the urge to snack at night. And that’s like asking to fail. In fact, that’s probably when you will fail. And if you decide you can’t live with that restriction, you’ll abandon the diet altogether. But if you schedule a satisfying snack for that time every night, it’ll be easier to stick with your weight loss program. So by indulging your weakness, you overcome it. Another common problem is having a sweet tooth. What if your diet doesn’t let you indulge often enough? Or you’re only allowed to take one or two small bites of a tasty snack and it doesn’t satisfy you? That’s almost like torture. This time, suppose chocolate is your weakness. If you can’t have it, how are you most likely to fail on your diet? That’s right. By eventually giving up and splurging on chocolate. Because you’ll feel deprived and become absolutely obsessed with eating it. But if you put chocolate and other sweets in your weight loss program in amounts that are satisfying, you’ll reduce or even eliminate the problem. And you’re much more likely to stay on your eating plan. And lose the weight. So again, by indulging your weakness, you overcome it. Now understand that when I say you overcome your weakness, I don’t mean you won’t crave chocolate. I just mean you’re more likely to keep your cravings under control and stay on your diet. And you may find that the more chocolate you eat, the less chocolate you want. It’s like working in a candy store. If your boss never allows you to eat candy, you’ll want it more. Sure, you may try to follow the rules at first. But eventually, you’ll start sneaking candy. You’ll promise yourself you’ll only do it once. But we both know you’ll do it again. And again. And again. Until you’re stuffing yourself with as much candy as you can get. Now suppose your boss tells you that you can eat all the candy you want whenever you want. Your face will light up as you imagine yourself gorging on candy every day. But the reality is you’ll probably indulge in your favorites at first, then level off. You may eat candy from time to time, but your obsession will evaporate. After all, if the candy’s always available to you, what’s the urgency in eating it? You’ll still like candy as much as you always did. But you’ll probably eat much less when you know you can have it anytime. It’s just human nature. The more you can’t have something, the more you want it. And the reverse is also true: the more you can have something, the less you want it. So you’re less likely to binge and ruin your weight loss. Again, by indulging your weakness, you overcome it. Have you ever tried a low-carb diet? When you cheated, did you reach for another steak or did you grab some carbs? Exactly. We always cheat on a diet by breaking the rules. So stop torturing yourself with strict diet rules. Instead, indulge your weaknesses and lose weight the easy way. How to Make Your Civil War Uniform Shirt

By Paula McCoach Your own shirt designed and made by you for your own Civil War Uniform Impression is easy and economical. Follow these simple directions, and your Civil War uniform shirt will be exactly how you want it. Take all of your girth measurements. Using a tape measure, measure your chest, stomach and note the bigger of the two measurements. Write it all down in inches. Do not suck your stomach or chest in. Be sure you are in a comfortable position, so your shirt will fit properly. Next, measure from top of shoulder to mid-thigh, so you can tell how long you want the shirt to be. Next, measure then from shoulder tip to wrist with arm bent at a 90 degree angle, so the sleeve will have enough room in it for you to move freely and comfortably. Measure your bicep and wrist. Measure your neck. Start looking for material but dont buy anything until measurements are completed Look at original photographs and decide which type of shirt you like and would be comfortable wearing on the march. Look at the collars and variations on how the neck is done. The collar is an easy part of the shirt to change also. A standard placard front with a slit for the head is desirable and very accurate. Purchase a shirt pattern. Follow assembly procedures. Now you are ready to choose your material. 100% cotton or Osnaburg is recommended. Muted colors are more of what was worn during the Civil War. If I were going to do a shirt just starting out, I would go with a red, white and/or blue homespun. I would stay away from real bright colors. Use muted-color fabrics. I think it looks much more accurate that way. The reason I said red, white, and blue is that both armies were patriotic and those color combinations were popular in the Civil War Era. Hand topstitch around the pocket and neck. Your hand topstitching should be about 6 8 stitches per inch. If you do this hand stitching, you have just doubled the value of your shirt and jacket. You probably will not start the hobby out as much of a tailor. My first few handmade items were a joke, but eventually I got to where I can put together a good uniform. I would stay away from shirts that were real fancy. If you dont want to make your own shirt, purchase a shirt that is already made that has machine buttonholes in it and rework the buttonholes to make it look more authentic. Take a seam ripper and pick out the buttonholes and handwork them. I would pick out and redo by hand all exposed machine stitching. Someone can show you how to do that in about 15 minutes. You have just doubled the value of your shirt and made it more authentic. For photographs of shirt designs, patriotic combinations, and topstitching, go to http://www.civilwaruniforms.net/shirts.htm Next, get yourself some good buttons. Stay away from plastic and modern buttons. Go with glass, bone, shell, metal, porcelain, 2-hole cats eye or Mother of Pearl. Metal buttons are authentic, but they have the potential to rust and stain your fabric. Some of the sutlers that sell fabric and sewing items have buttons. Or I have a ton of buttons I might be talked into parting with. Buttons can also be found at flea markets, antique stores, in old button baskets, tins or jars. Frequently, you can buy a whole jar of buttons for $3 check out the buttons in it, and if you find a substantial antique buttons, it certainly is worth it. Sometimes the jar is as valuable as the buttons! I have found jars full of buttons with a hundred dollar button in it. Small items like buttons can make a huge difference and increase the value of your shirt, jacket, pants, etc. To see some antique buttons, go to http://www.civilwaruniforms.net/civilwarshirtbuttons.htm Try to get solid brass buttons. Waterbury is good. Original buttons are a bit pricey but not out of the question. If you are getting U.S. Eagle buttons, sutlers have them. Stay away from the ones that are plated. I personally just use coin buttons. If you are doing a state regiment, you want to go with state seal buttons. I buttons are a good generic impression. For late war buttons, go with the Tate Script I which were coming in later in the war. U.S. buttons can go U.S. or Confederate. It would not be unusual to see an Eagle button on a Confederate uniform. Coach McCoach has been reenacting the Civil War for 27 years.
